Who is snows.net?

1.  Who is Snows.Net?
Snows.Net is a family owned business.  We are the newest locally owned and operated ISP (Internet Service Provider) located in Central New York. We offer unlimited Internet access that is affordable, easy to use, and full featured. There are no shortcuts taken to provide the best service to our customers, at an unbelievable $10 per month when paid annually.

Why don't you have a store front?

There are many parts to this answer but basically if we had all the overhead associated with a store front we couldn't provide this service at this astonishingly low price.

Can I access my mail online?

Not at this time but this is the number one priority that we are working on.

What Payment methods are available ?

Currently we accept cash, check, and credits cards including: VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express.  Soon we will have our online payment methods setup.

What payment plans are available?

We have 4 plans to choose from:

Annually for $120 which is equal to $10 per month
Semi-annually for $70 which is equal to $11.67 per month
Quarterly for $40 which is equal to $13.33 per month
Monthly for $10

I'm a "snow bird" what do I do when I'm gone for the winter?

We are providing nationwide access; all you have to do is check our list of access numbers and find one that is a local call for your new location.  Use that number while you are away and change back to the number you were using here when you return.

Our service is a little bit different than others if I were using myself as an example:

How do I make Snows my home page?

Go to www.snowscomputer.com and scroll down to the bottom of the page.  Follow directions listed at the bottom.  After that when you click on "home" on your browser you will go directly to Snow's home page.

Do you provide space for a web page?

Since there are so many available sources for free space for web page posting; we felt that it was not necessary and if we had provided that ability we would have had to charge more for the basic dialup service.

Do I have to use snows.net for email?

No. If you have been using Hotmail or yahoomail you can continue to.  Many people setup an email such as that to have continuity when changing ISP services.

When is my renewal bill due?

Renewals are always due on the 15th of the month.  This makes it easier for you to remember and easier for us to minimize costs associated with billing.  Reminders will be sent out on the first of the month when your current service expires.  If we do not receive payment within 5 calendar days of the due date your account will be terminated and you will have to pay the activation fee again.

How many hours online do I get for $10?

There is NO hour limits per month.  This is NOT a 24/7 service. All of our dial up accounts have a ten minute idle time out and a 5 hour session maximum.  If either of these should occur,  end users can dial back in.

How many people are using the same connection I am?

Each one of our networks is different.  However they run at or below the industry average of approximately 10 to 1.

Who can I contact if I have problems connecting?

To obtain support call 315.573.3490 if you like we can call you back to assist in getting connected.  We are working on a CD that you will be able to use to get your system setup quickly and easily.
